Partnering with Parents

Parents and/or family members play an instrumental role in the Clear Creek ISD Virtual Learning Program. When parents enroll their student into a learn from home environment, they, or a primary caregiver, are committing to serving as a Learning Coach. What is a Learning Coach?

  • Play an active part in supporting and facilitating their virtual learning.
  • Identify a quiet space for students to learn, free of disruption.
  • Ensure independent (asynchronous) learning is occurring as scheduled.
  • Identify and resolve any technology or internet challenges that may arise. Mobile hot spots (internet service) and district issued laptops are available.
  • Monitor the daily schedule, required online time, and assignment deadlines.
  • Communicate with your child’s teacher regularly.
  • Bring student in for in-person assessments or individual services as requested.
  • Allow students to do their own work.
