Board Recognitions

Stewart Elementary students led the pledge. 

Clear Creek High School's Ty Halford was named 2024-25 Boys Water Polo Coach of the Year. He also received a special recognition from Representative Greg Bonnen from the State of Texas.

Several Career and Technical Education student organizations earned top awards at the State level from health science and business to culinary arts and automotive technology.

  • The Family Career and Community Leaders of America Club at Clear Springs High School
  • SKILLS USA Automotive Technology at Clear Springs High School

  • DECA Club at Clear Springs High School

Students in the HUNCH program were recognized as Students of Excellence for their projects with NASA.

Savannah Philachack from Goforth Elementary won the Overall Award of Excellence for Dance Choreography in the PTA Reflections Program. Makenna Dunham from Campbell Elementary earned the Overall Award of Excellence for Photography. She also earned the Award of Merit at Nationals.

There were 39 VASE State Gold Seal and Exemplary winners were celebrated from across CCISD. 

The Clear Creek Community Council of PTAS presented an Annual Report to the Board.

Items of Interest

Rebecca Lilley, elected to the At-Large Position B seat, and Jessica Cejka, who was elected to her second term, were sworn in. 

In addition, the Board selected new officers for the upcoming term: Jonathan Cottrell will serve as President, Jessica Cejka as Vice President, and Jeff Larson as Secretary.

Superintendent Dr. Engle provided a district update on 2025 Teachers of the Year, HEB School Board Award, Graduations, and End of the Year Celebrations.

Veena Dass, currently serving as Dean of Instruction at Clear Lake High School, was named School Improvement Officer for the District.

The orders authorizing the conversion of certain CCISD Variable Rate Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds was approved. 

The Consent Agenda was approved.
