Expanded Dual Credit Opportunities with San Jacinto College and College of the Mainland

Clear Creek ISD is expanding its menu of existing dual credit opportunities for students through new and enhanced partnerships with San Jacinto College and College of the Mainland. The opportunities provide students with additional pathways to earn college credit and courses that lead to industry-based certifications while still in high school.

The new slate of offerings is available for consideration for the 2026-2027 school year as students move through the course selection process, which closes on Feb. 18, 2026.

“This exciting expansion reflects our continued commitment to prepare students for life beyond graduation,” said Superintendent Dr. Karen Engle. “By continuing to strengthen our partnerships with San Jacinto College and College of the Mainland, we are providing Clear Creek ISD students with meaningful opportunities to explore high-demand careers, earn college credit and accelerate their future success.”

Through this collaborative expansion, eligible CCISD high school students will have access to a broader range of career and technical education (CTE) and academic dual credit courses aligned with high-demand industries and postsecondary programs of study. These opportunities allow students to gain real-world experience, explore career interests and get a head start on college and workforce credentials. College credit hours earned range from two to four, dependent on the course, while simultaneously earning high school credit.

These expanded partnerships reflect CCISD’s focus on providing a World-Class Education from Pre-K to Career and prepare students for success beyond high school.
