Clear Creek ISD Senior Wins Tommy Tune Award

Ronnit Jain, a Clear Lake High School senior, won the 2024 Tommy Tune Award for Outstanding Supporting Lead for his performance as “Josh” in the school’s rendition of Zombie Prom.

“We are so proud of all the hard work everyone put in to make our show Zombie Prom a success this year,” said Tessa Keller, Clear Lake High School technical director. “Our students put in countless hours of work, and it was an honor to be nominated for these awards to recognize our students. Ronnit worked incredibly hard on this show we are so happy that he was recognized by the Tommy Tune judges.”

Clear Creek ISD high schools host musicals each spring for the public to enjoy. This year, Clear Creek High School, Clear Falls High School, Clear Lake High School and Clear Springs High School received 88 total Tommy Tune Award nominations and 14 finalist designations.

In its 20^th year, the Tommy Tune Awards Program celebrates the educational value, artistry and community of high school musical theatre in the Greater Houston Area. Each school is adjudicated by a team of volunteer, professional Houston-based music/theatre artists.

“The incredible talent all of these students have, and the community they build throughout this process is truly what it’s been about since the beginning,” said Jacob Shideler, TUTS Director of Education.
