Clear Creek ISD Readies to Welcome Young Learners

Clear Creek ISD launched Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) and Kindergarten online enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year on April 15, 2024. CCISD elementary campuses will be open from May 1-8, 2024, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. to welcome new families to the District and assist parents with enrollment and receive supporting documentation.

Clear Creek ISD offers free, full-day early learning programs for families who qualify, as well as a newly-expanded tuition-based Pre-K program for residents who live within the District boundaries. CCISD’s early learning programs include monolingual and bilingual classrooms and Early Childhood Special Education.

Pre-Kindergarten in CCISD
For children turning 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2024, and who reside in the District, CCISD offers tuition-based Pre-K, on a space available basis, and free Pre-K for families who qualify. For the 2024-2025 school year, the District will provide quality Pre-K programming in all 27 elementary campuses.

For the tuition-based program, parents who applied during the application window from November 13, 2023, to February 1, 2024, and were subsequently approved for the program, will formally register their child during this enrollment period.

Qualifications for free Pre-K range from limited English proficiency or economically disadvantaged, to child of a parent in the military, in additional to several other factors. For a complete listing of qualifications for free Pre-K, parents and guardians may visit ccisd.net/prek.

Kindergarten in CCISD
To enroll in CCISD’s full-day Kindergarten program, students must reside within the District’s boundaries and turn 5-years-old on or before September 1, 2024.
 

Parent Support Opportunities: Virtual Enrollment Meetings and Registration Fair

For our families’ convenience, CCISD will host two live Zoom meetings. Parents interested in enrolling their child in either the Pre-K or Kindergarten programs in CCISD will hear from an early learning leader and expert as well as a CCISD Kindergarten teacher and ask questions in a live meeting setting via Zoom. Parents or guardians may register for the meeting by visiting ccisd.net/enroll.

Additionally, the District will host a Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration Fair in June to welcome families and support parents through the registration process.

Special Services
Through the Special Education Evaluation Center (SEEC), Clear Creek ISD also provides evaluation services for children between the ages of two and five, who are not in a District Pre-K program and are not yet Kindergarten age, to determine if a child has a special education disability and if there is a need for special education services. The Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Program, serving children beginning on their third birthday, meets the needs of students identified as needing these services.
