Clear Creek ISD Named Top Workplace in Houston

The Clear Creek Independent School District has been named a top large employer in the Houston Chronicle’s 2025 Top Workplace Awards. A total of 208 workplaces were recognized this year, with only 72 large companies on the list.

"In Clear Creek ISD, our culture is built on the belief that world-class education begins with the people who make it possible,” said Superintendent Dr. Karen Engle. “Being named a Top Workplace is a reflection of the commitment, passion and professionalism our employees bring to our students every day. This recognition affirms that when we live out our values of people, purpose, and promise, we strengthen not only our classrooms, but the entire community we proudly serve.”

The Top Workplaces in Houston are based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential reviews uniquely measure the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

In addition to this workplace award, Clear Creek ISD also ranked among the top in the state of Texas for teaching and learning in the newly-released 2026 Best Schools rankings from Niche. The District received an overall "A" rating and ranked 7th of the Best Places to Teach in Texas.
