A total of 287 intermediate and high school students advanced to the District-level competition with 184 earning an award. Students compete in the categories of Life Science, Physical Science or Engineering.

“These students have devoted countless hours to research and experimentation over the past several months,” said CCISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Engle during the ceremony. “This evening, we proudly recognize their achievements and honor their spirit of curiosity, a curiosity that drives discovery as we’ll see here tonight,” Engle said.

Dr. Engle also expressed her appreciation, and that of the Board of Trustees, to a strong community of teachers, parents, science fair judges and presenting sponsor, SAIC, for their support that powers student success.
