Clear Creek ISD Announces Launch of Clear Tech Virtual Program

The Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD), one of Texas’ top-rated PK-12 public school districts, is partnering with Texas Tech K-12 to launch the Clear Tech Virtual Program for the 2026-27 school year.

“This groundbreaking virtual education brings together two world-class educational institutions to offer students a rigorous academic program with the added benefits of in-person support and enrichment opportunities,” said Karen Engle, Superintendent of Schools.

This full-time, tuition-free virtual learning model is ideal for:

  • Students with demanding schedules due to competitive sports and club programs
  • Homeschool families seeking a high-quality, rigorous curriculum with flexible in-person support and enrichment
  • Families looking for a non-traditional school day option

Students enrolled in the Clear Tech Virtual Program will complete asynchronous, Texas Essential Knowledge of Skills-aligned coursework through Texas Tech K-12, a division of Texas Tech Online.

“This partnership with Clear Creek ISD reflects our shared commitment to expanding access to high quality, flexible learning opportunities for students. At Texas Tech K-12, we support districts with scalable solutions that address evolving student needs while upholding strong academic standards. We are proud to collaborate with CCISD in advancing student success for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond,” said Robert Bayard, superintendent for Texas Tech K-12.

CCISD will complement the virtual coursework with robust student support services, technology and software tools, and in-person clubs and other activities.

Clear Tech Virtual Program will be available to elementary, intermediate, and high school students across Texas. High school offerings will begin with a ninth-grade cohort, with additional high school grade levels offered in 2027-28.

“Clear Creek ISD has a strong reputation and is truly on the cutting edge of providing new and unique opportunities for student learning. We look forward to partnering for the 2026-2027 school year and are excited to see great things that will come from this collaboration,” said Cari Moye, principal of Recruitment, Investment and Strategic Partnerships for Texas Tech K-12.

The Clear Creek Independent School District will host a series of family informational meetings throughout March and April. Families interested in the program are encouraged to apply by May 15. Visit this link for more information.
