CCISD Elementary and Intermediate Schools Named to 2024 Best Schools List

All Clear Creek ISD elementary and intermediate schools made U.S. News & World Report’s list of 2024 Best Elementary and Middle School rankings.

The District is also the only one in Galveston County to have all campuses selected for the honor. In this edition, U.S. News published rankings and data on more than 79,000 public elementary and middle schools nationwide, which represents only 40 percent of schools in Texas.

“We are delighted that each of our 27 elementary and 10 intermediate schools in Clear Creek ISD are included in the U.S. News & World Report’s list of the best K-12 schools in the state,” said Superintendent Dr. Karen Engle. “This is a testament to the dedication and passion of our educators and the soaring potential within every student.”

The list was based on public data from the U.S. Department of Education and focused on state assessments of students who were proficient or above proficient in mathematics and reading/language arts while accounting for student backgrounds, achievement in core subjects, and how well schools are educating their students. The highest rankings for CCISD was League City Intermediate at 67 and Westbrook Intermediate at 80 in the state.
