CCISD Bands Shine at Friendswood Marching Festival
Clear Creek ISD high school bands competed in the 2021 Small Town, Big Sound Friendswood Marching Festival last weekend. Clear Brook High School was crowned as the Grand Champion after placing first in all five categories with a total score of 76.712.
Clear Falls High School placed second, Clear Lake High School placed fifth and Clear Creek High School placed eighth out of 13 total teams. Marching bands were judged on general effect, music performance, visual performance, color guard and percussions.
“The visual and performing arts department was so excited to witness the incredible student outcomes displayed this past weekend at the Small Town, Big Sound 2021 marching contest,” said CCISD Director of Visual and Performing Arts Greg Goodman. “Clear Creek ISD is so proud of the standard of excellence by students and parent support displayed at this event.”
This was the first marching contest for the 2021 season. UIL 6A contests begin in October 2021.
