Board Recognitions

Cub scout troops from North Pointe Elementary and Brookwood Elementary led the pledge. They attended the meeting to earn their “Arrow of Light” rank which includes meeting with government leaders and to learn about their role in the community.

Sam Golla from Clear Lake High School and Kaitlyn Gale and Hailey Castillo from Clear Falls High School were recognized for qualifying for the State Cross Country Championship Meet this month.

The Clear Creek Education Foundation provided an annual update for the Program Spotlight.

Items of Interest

Dr. Karen Engle was named as the lone finalist for the CCISD Superintendent of Schools position. Read more.

Julius Campbell was named as the new commander for the School Liaison Division of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Department. He was previously the Chief of Police for Fort Bend ISD and La Marque ISD.

The Consent Agenda was approved.

The Board approved changes to the Class Rank Policy beginning with the Class of 2027 and beyond. Read more

The Board approved the use of capital project funds to purchase new buses.
