Community May Now Donate to School Lunch Funds Through CCISD Cares
Through CCISD Cares, the community may support students with zero balance meal accounts by donating emergency lunch funds.
Visit ccisd.net/ccisdcares for the donation platform.
CCISD Cares is the District’s 501(c)3 organization formed to assist Clear Creek ISD families with basic needs in times of crisis.
The CCISD Cares donation platform now enables the donor to choose between “Donate Now to CCISD Cares General Fund” or “Donate Now to School Lunch Fund.” Funds donated to the General Fund support Clear Creek ISD families with basic needs in emergency situations, such as sudden homelessness due to an apartment fire, for example.
Although Clear Creek ISD has a program in place to provide free and reduced breakfast and lunch to eligible families, donations to the School Lunch Fund will ensure that any student who does not have lunch money is served a nutritious meal. This custom feature was added in response to community members who had voiced interest in focusing their support directly to local schools and helping children in need.
CCISD encourages families who qualify to participate in the Free and Reduced Meal Program to visit www.ccisd.net/studentmeals to learn more and complete the form via SchoolCafé. Through this federal program, students of enrolled families receive meals at a discounted price or at no cost based on program requirements. The cost of the meal is determined by the student’s eligibility – Free, Reduced or Paid.
