Clear Creek ISD Instructional Materials Committee

Clear Creek ISD is seeking parents and community members to serve on Subject Area Subcommittees (SAS) that will help select instructional materials, textbooks, and digital resources for the following subjects: 

• Elementary Science - Kindergarten through 5th Grade 
• Secondary Science - 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Science; Aquatic Science, Astronomy, Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Forensics; Biology; Chemistry and Integrated Physics & Chemistry; Physics 
• Secondary Career and Technical Education - Child Development, Instructional Practices (TET I), Principles of Education and Training, Science Theory (PCT), Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacy, Food Science, Cybersecurity Capstone (Cybersecurity), Fundamentals of Computer Science
• Technology Applications - Elementary, Secondary

Any parent and community member who resides in CCISD attendance zone is eligible to serve. The committee will be reviewing resources and materials to support the curriculum and will be making recommendations to the Instructional Materials and Technology Allotment committee to be approved for purchase to the Board of Trustees.  

Selected participants will be notified if selected by October 2, 2023. Committee members will begin meeting October 12, and continue throughout the Fall and beginning of Spring semesters. Interest forms are due no later than Sept. 28, 2023.
