CCISD Wins Top Visual Arts Education Award
For the second year in a row, Clear Creek ISD was named as a District of Distinction from the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA). Only the top 5.5 percent of visual arts programs in the state earned the award for 2023.
CCISD received this honor for providing a well-rounded education that advocates and integrates visual arts curriculum to inspire creativity and build social emotional learning that connect learners to their community and beyond. Only 68 districts met the high standard based on documentation from the 2021-2022 school year.
“The visual and performing arts department is incredibly proud of our visual art students and teachers for receiving this award,” said Greg Goodman, director of visual and performing arts. “It emphasizes the importance of the visual arts in CCISD and how each art teacher strives daily to connect with their students, while engaging in the arts as a form of creativity and self-expression.”
TAEA will recognize winning districts during the Administration & Supervision Division meeting and General Session during the TAEA Fall Conference on November 17, 2023.
