These elementary, intermediate and high school teams advanced after winning awards at the Texas Region 3 Championships and Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RECF) Online Challenges. The Texas Region 3 Championship is equivalent to a state championship and the RECF Online Challenges are open to all teams internationally to qualify for the World Championship.

“It’s always a great feeling seeing our robotics teams shine and make it all the way to the World Championship,” said Robotics and Engineering Program Manager James Jobe. “These competitions foster a deeper identity as STEM learners and expose them to valuable skills that they will carry with them throughout their lives.”

The VEX Championship, which is the largest robotics competition in the world, will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. High school teams compete April 25-27, intermediate teams compete April 27-29 and elementary teams compete May 2-4.
