Elementary 27 to be Named After Florence Campbell

Elementary 27 to be Named After Florence Campbell

The 27th elementary school in Clear Creek ISD that is being built to relieve overcrowding in the western part of League City will be named Florence Campbell Elementary School.

Florence McMahan Campbell, a longtime educator within the District, is the mother of Travis Campbell whose family donated the land on which the campus will be built in her honor.

The new school, which will cost about $43 million from the $487 million bond, will be located along League City Parkway and will accommodate a capacity of 1,000 students.

The campus is scheduled to open in the fall of 2019.
