Intermediate Summer School

Clear Creek ISD Intermediate Summer School is for students entering grades 6–8. Classes are held Monday–Thursday from 7:45–11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m. at Clear Lake High School. A student may receive full credit for a year’s course in one class in one session.

During pre-registration, students contact their home campus counselor to register for courses.

 
Summer Semester I
  • Dates: June 5 – June 15, 2023 (Monday–Thursday)
  • Morning Class: 7:45–11:00 a.m.
  • Afternoon Class: 11:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m.
  • Lunch: 11:00–11:30 a.m. (for students attending AM and PM classes)
  • Credit Recovery Courses:
    • Language Arts/Reading - Grades 6, 7, 8
    • Mathematics - Grades 6, 7, 8
  • New Courses (Original Credit):
    • College and Career Readiness
    • For incoming 8th graders only, offered AM and PM
  • Students will have the opportunity to get targeted support in essential skills that will help them build a stronger foundation in ELA and/or Math. The extra support with these essential skills will help students be successful with their 2022-23 courses. By attending summer school, students will receive 26 hours of the HB4545 requirement of 30 hours of accelerated instruction in each content area if they were not successful on the Math and/or Reading STAAR.

 

Summer Semester II

Summer semester II is only for students who are required/recommended to take science and/or social studies to be promoted to the next grade level. 

  • Dates: June 19 – June 29, 2023 (Monday–Thursday)
  • Morning Class: 7:45–11:00 a.m.
  • Afternoon Class: 11:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m.
  • Lunch: 11:00–11:30 a.m. (for students attending AM and PM classes)
  • Credit Recovery Courses:
    • Science - Grades 6, 7, 8
    • Social Studies - Grades 6, 7, 8
  • New Courses (Original Credit):
    • College and Career Readiness
    • For incoming 8th graders only, offered AM and PM
  • These courses are available to students that need to complete necessary requirements in order to be promoted to the next grade level. Students will be notified if this work is needed. The only time a student is required to take summer school for science and/or social studies is if their overall combined average (mathematics, English language arts (ELA), science, and social studies) is below a 70 and the student’s final grade for mathematics and English are both above 70 with their science and/or social students grades below a 70.
Summer School Costs
  • $200.00 per class/session
  • $100.00 per class/session for students who qualify for free/reduced lunch
  • Summer School fees will take 24 hours following registration to show in Skyward Family Access for payment. If you do not see your fees in Skyward after 24 hours have passed, then contact your home campus counselor.
Payment Information
  • Online by Credit Card (Discover, MasterCard, or Visa only) through Family Access in Skyward. Credit card payments will have a convenience fee.
  • Paid through your student’s Home Campus Bookkeeper through May 26, 2023.
    • Payment can be personal check, cashier’s check or money order made payable to Clear Creek ISD.
    • Personal checks must include physical address, phone number, and student name in memo.
  • Payments can be made in person at Clear Lake High School on June 1, June 3, and June 5, 2023.
Attendance Requirements
  • Students are expected to be present and arrive on time to class each day and after each break.
  • Tardies will be documented as a time of absence. Students are expected to make up any time missed to receive full credit. If the total amount of missed class time is more than 3 hours, the student may be dismissed from summer school without course credit and all tuition forfeited.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for student's attendance. The parent/guardian is to contact the summer school office when the student is absent. All other CCISD student attendance, check-in, check-out procedures for intermediate schools will remain in effect during summer school.
  • Students must adhere to CCISD Student Code of Conduct and dress code policy
Student Devices
  • Students are expected to bring their own CCISD issued device to summer school every day.
Transportation
  • No transportation will be provided to and from Clear Creek High School for intermediate summer school.

Students will be dropped if payment is not received by June 8, 2023.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing before the second day of each session. No refund will be given after the second day of each session for any reason, including students dismissed due to disciplinary or attendance reasons.

High School Summer School Information

Clear Creek ISD High School Summer School is for students entering grades 9-12. Classes are held Monday–Thursday from 7:15 a.m.–2:15 p.m. at Clear Lake High School.

Students who reside in the CCISD attendance zone but did not attend a CCISD school during the 2023 spring semester, must bring proof of residency (lease or mortgage statement and current utility bill) when registering.

Summer Semester I
  • June 5 – June 15, 2023
  • Courses taught this semester are equivalent to courses taught in the Fall(A) semester during a regular school year.
Summer Semester II
  • June 19 – June 29, 2023
  • Courses taught this semester are equivalent to courses taught in the Spring (B) semester during a regular school year.
Summer School Schedule
  • Monday – Thursday from 7:15 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
  • Session 1: 7:30–10:15 a.m.
  • Session 2: 10:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

Clear Access Summer Session

High School students can take initial-credit, asynchronous online courses in Canvas through the Clear Access program. There is one five-week session offered from June 5 – July 6.

Online registration is through the campus counselor and is open until June 1.  In-person registration at Clear Lake High School is available on Thursday, June 1 from 4 – 7 PM, Saturday, June 3, from 9 AM – 12 PM, and Monday, June 5 from 8 AM – 12 PM. Payment for courses is due by Monday, June 5, 12 PM.
