Remote Conferencing

Remote Conferencing
If your child is unable to attend school, we don't want learning to stop. Clear Creek ISD will offer remote conferencing for students in all grade levels beginning September 7, 2021. This is not the same as CCISD's Virtual Learning Program.

Remote conferencing is a temporary synchronous learning support at home for students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. The Texas Education Agency allows students to earn attendance credit for up to 20 days of instruction due to a temporary medical condition, COVID-19 positive test or quarantine due to COVID-19 exposure.

Elementary students will receive up to two hours of synchronous learning support on a pre-determined programming schedule with CCISD educators. Secondary students will receive up to four hours of synchronous learning support on based on a pre-determined programing schedule with CCISD educators. Students are expected to continue using their current itsLearning or SeeSaw platform to submit assignments issued by their teacher of record. No grades will be issued in this environment.

Steps to Remain Connected

Elementary Families: Here are a few recommendations to ensure students remain connected to their teacher and learning.

    • Students must log in with their CCISD credentials to receive attendance credit. Guest access and names typed in the chat will not be accepted for attendance credit. If you are having trouble logging in, please have your student submit a TOPDesk ticket located in the SSO Portal.
    • Elementary students can log in to our CCISD At Home Learning Course for additional learning opportunities. While there, you will see a link to LIVE instruction provided by a CCISD teacher. Log in at the specified time based on core content for English Language Arts and Math.
    • There are supports for English learners and Special Education students. Those links can be utilized between 8:00-10:00 a.m. daily.
    • Help your child log into itslearning or Seesaw and check for directions, assignments and due dates.
    • Support them in competing assignments at home and uploading them into itslearning or Seesaw.
    • Maintain connection with your child’s teacher and/or administrators via email.
    • Utilize available online resources through the SSO portal.

    • Maintain connection with your child’s teacher and/or administrators via email.
    • Utilize available online resources through the SSO portal for secondary students.
*Although students receive attendance credit, if a student attends remote conferencing, this does not count as a substitute for physical attendance in class. Students will have time to make up assignments, as our current make-up work practices state in the CCISD Instructional Grading and Reporting Procedures.

    What Remote Conferencing is Not

    • This is not the equivalent of the CCISD Virtual Learning Program.
    • The educator providing synchronous learning support will not be the student’s teacher of record. Their teacher will be considered a learning coach.
    • The learning experience will not mirror the typical learning experience in the classroom.

    Programming Schedule

There will be grade-level content delivery for English Language Arts and Math for elementary level and core-subject content delivery for English Language Arts, math, science and social studies for students in grades 6-12.

For example, students who are enrolled in Algebra I will have a remote conferencing link for that content and students who are enrolled in Geometry will have a remote conferencing link for that content area. Their remote conferencing period of time will be the same, 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

The times for core content will be the same, just different links dependent upon the courses the student is enrolled in.
