CCISD Celebrates Future Educators at Class of 2026 Signing Ceremony

CCISD Celebrates Future Educators at Class of 2026 Signing Ceremony

The Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) proudly honored its next generation of teachers during the inaugural Class of 2026 committED to Education: Future Educators Signing Ceremony held April 21.

A total of 43 students from Clear Brook, Clear Creek, Clear Falls, Clear Lake and Clear Springs high schools enrolled in CCISD’s Child Guidance or Teacher Education Training (TET) programs signed letters of intent to pursue careers in education. Each student also received a guaranteed interview with the District upon completion of their degree program.

“We are honored to celebrate the dedication of these students who have committed to education and recognize their important decision to serve in this vital profession,” said Britani Moses, CCISD executive director of human resources.

The ceremony highlighted the strong partnership between CCISD’s Human Resources and Career and Technical Education (CTE) departments. Through this collaboration, TET and Child Guidance students gain real-world classroom experience and pathways to employment.

“Clear Creek ISD has a special legacy of students who grow up in our schools, pursue their dreams, and choose to return to serve the next generation,” said Superintendent Dr. Karen Engle. “I am proud to be one of them, and I hope many of these future educators will one day come back home to make a difference in the district that helped shape them.”

A highlight of the evening was keynote remarks from Marshall Munson, a Clear Falls High School TET alumnus and current Clear Creek High School Teacher of the Year. Munson shared his journey from student to educator within CCISD, emphasizing the lasting impact of the program and the importance of intentional teaching.

“There is no more critical profession, no nobler calling,” Munson told students, encouraging them to embrace their role in shaping future generations.

Through programs like TET and Child Guidance, Clear Creek ISD continues to invest in strengthening the pipeline of passionate, well-prepared teachers who will serve the community for years to come. Currently, CCISD employs 38 active substitutes from these programs, underscoring the district’s commitment to growing its own future workforce.
