CCISD Celebrates Deep Community Roots at Annual Volunteer and Partnership Breakfast

Clear Creek ISD celebrated the volunteers, organizations and community partners who support the district’s more than 38,000 students during its annual Volunteer and Partnership Breakfast on May 14.

Anchored in the theme of strong community roots, the event culminated with the announcement of H-E-B as the District’s 2026 Community Partner of the Year.

“There are countless factors that make the soil so rich for dreams to take root in our school district,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Engle. “So, for those gathered here this morning, know that you are critical in the ecosystem of a child’s success in CCISD, and for that we are grateful and proud to honor you today.”

As they first entered the event held in the Challenger Columbia Stadium Fieldhouse Community room, guests were welcomed with the "Deep in the HeART of Texas" gallery featuring Lone Star-inspired works from students of all ages across the district.

Engle sited vital contributions from individuals and organizations ranging from the Clear Creek Education Foundation and PTAs to the CCISD Interfaith Collaborative, a network of houses of worship who, in many ways, serve as extended family and a support system for campuses and students.

“Blessings have bloomed in many ways this year,” said Engle. “Interfaith Collaborative Partners Clear Creek Community Church and Bay Area Church combined more than 500 volunteers through their Blessing the Bay Area and Hope Initiative this past year to beautify 31 campuses. Our Interfaith Collaborative partners are such a spirted and steady partner for our schools through mentorships and providing family supports when needed,” she added.

Guests also heard directly from members of the Class of 2026 during a student panel highlighting the indelible impact teachers, volunteers and community partners had on their journey to graduation.

“In Texas, neighbors show up for one another,” Engle said. “The very same goes for how things work here in CCISD. This year’s top honoree perfectly embodies that spirit and has become a part of the fabric of the community itself.” Dr. Engle then announced H-E-B as the Community Partner of the Year.

The breakfast also honored each campus Volunteer of the Year, individuals selected for their exceptional service and support throughout the school year.
