From choir rehearsals at Clear Creek High School to writing, producing and starring in her own film, Samantha Smart has turned her passion into a powerful career.
Samantha carried the lessons she learned in CCISD throughout her journey, from earning a music scholarship to creating her award-winning film Charliebird and appearing in the 2026 Academy Award film Jane Austen’s Period Drama.
One of her favorite full-circle moments? Including a phrase from her CCISD choir teacher in her film: “Our voices, when they sing, they go on to exist forever.” Her story is a reminder that creativity, discipline and believing in your voice can take you anywhere.
