CCISD Announces 2026-2027 Free and Reduced Lunch Guidelines

Clear Creek ISD students who are unable to afford the full price of school meals will be able to participate in a free and reduced-price meal program.

The District uses guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to determine eligibility for participation in the National School Lunch/Breakfast Program. 

For the 2026-2027 school year, students who qualify for Free AND Reduced-Price Meals will receive both breakfast and lunch at no cost, for all grade levels Pre-K through 12th grade.

Qualification standards are based on the number of family members and income. Applicants must turn in the following information to be considered for the program:

• Eligibility Determination Group (EDG) number for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF); or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)
   

Families who do not have the above information must list the following:

• Names of all household members
• The last four digits of the Social Security number of primary wage earner or household member who signs the form or if the adult does not have a social security number, check the box for “No Social Security Number”
• Last month’s income and how often it was received for each household member that receives an income
• Signature of an adult household member attesting that the information is correct.

Foster children, who are the legal responsibility of the state agency or court, are eligible for benefits regardless of the income of the household with whom they reside.

Applications will be available online at www.schoolcafe.com.  To apply for free and reduced‐price meals, households must fill out the online application.  Applications may be submitted anytime during the school year.

Under the provisions of the free and reduced‐price meal policy, Rebecca Coronado, Free & Reduced Meal Benefits Specialist, will review applications and determine eligibility. Parents or guardians dissatisfied with the ruling of the official may wish to discuss the decision with the reviewing official on an informal basis at 281-284-0712.

Parents wishing to make a formal appeal for a hearing on the decision may make a request either orally by calling 281-284-0700 or in writing to Child Nutrition Hearing Official, 2145 West NASA Blvd, Webster, TX 77598.

If a household member becomes unemployed or if the household size increases, the household should contact Child Nutrition. Such changes may make the students of the household eligible for benefits if the household’s income falls at or below the levels shown below:

The Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act requires the information on this application. You do not have to give the information, but if you do not, we cannot approve your child for free or reduced-price meals. You must include the last four digits of the social security number of the adult household member who signs the application. The last four digits of the social security number are not required when you apply on behalf of a foster child, or you list a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program, or Food Distribution Programs on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) case number or other FDPIR identifier for your child or when you indicate that the adult household member signing the application does not have a social security number. We will use your information to determine if your child is eligible for free or reduced-price meals, and for administration and enforcement of the lunch and breakfast programs. We MAY share your eligibility information with education, health, and nutrition programs to help them evaluate, fund, or determine benefits for their programs, auditors for program reviews, and law enforcement officials to help them look into violations of program rules.
