CCISD Visual and Performing Arts Programs Earn State and National Recognition

Clear Creek ISD’s Visual and Performing Arts programs are taking center stage with three prestigious honors recognizing the district’s commitment to excellence in visual arts, music and theatre education. 

The Texas Art Education Association named CCISD a District of Distinction for the fifth consecutive year. The award recognizes districts that provide comprehensive, high-quality visual arts programs and places CCISD among the top visual arts programs in Texas. 

For the fourth consecutive year, the NAMM Foundation named CCISD one of the Best Communities for Music Education. The national designation recognizes school districts that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to providing students with access to music education. 

CCISD also earned the Texas Educational Theatre Association Exemplary District Award of Distinction for the fourth consecutive year. The recognition honors districts that advance theatre education through student achievement, advocacy, diversity, and meaningful opportunities for participation in the arts. 

“These prestigious honors are a testament to the masterful teaching and learning taking place throughout every corner of our community,” said Greg Goodman, CCISD Director of Visual and Performing Arts. “More importantly, they reflect our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every student who crosses our path has the opportunity to discover, cultivate and nourish their individual gifts and talents.” 

Goodman credited the District’s Board of Trustees, superintendent, administrators, educators and families for their continued support of fine arts education. 

“A very special thank you goes to our amazing parents and families,” Goodman said. “Your volunteerism, advocacy and steadfast support of our students and programs play an essential role in making Clear Creek ISD and our Visual and Performing Arts programs truly world class.
