Thirteen CCISD Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Thirteen Clear Creek ISD high school students have been named Semifinalists in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program, placing them among the top 1% of high school seniors nationwide.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation annually recognizes academically accomplished high school seniors through its scholarship competition. To advance to the Finalist level, Semifinalists must meet several academic and application requirements. About 95% of Semifinalists are expected to become Finalists, and approximately half of those students will earn a National Merit Scholarship and the Merit Scholar® title.

CCISD’s 13 Semifinalists now have the opportunity to compete for approximately 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million, which will be awarded next spring.
