This is the image for the news article titled CCISD School Board Trustee Election Postponed Until NovemberDue to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees approved an order to postpone the Saturday, May 2, 2020 school board election to the uniform election date of Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

This took place during the March 23 board meeting earlier this week and was based on Governor Greg Abbott’s proclamation on March 18, 2020, where he gave political subdivisions like CCISD the option to postpone their May general and special elections until the fall in light of the circumstances.

District 2 position, currently held by trustee Win Weber, and District 3 position, currently held by trustee Arturo Sanchez are up for election. In the District 2 position, candidates include Michelle M. Davis, Will Stromeyer and Win Weber. In the District 3 position, candidates include Jason Clark and Arturo Sanchez. Applications for a ballot by mail (“ABBMs”) for voters that are voting by mail due to being over the age of 65 or due to disability will still be valid for the November Election. The voter registration deadline is Monday, October 5, 2020, and the deadline to submit an ABBM is Friday, October 23, 2020.

Early voting will now take place Monday, October 19, through Friday, October 20, 2020, though the times and locations are to be determined.

Election Day polls will be open on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Locations are to be determined.
