Prior to her job as the new principal of Ward Elementary, she was a bilingual instructional math coach at Stewart Elementary for five years and assistant principal of McWhirter Elementary for three.

“The school is the heart of the community, and I am so excited to collaborate and work side-by-side with such a dedicated group of teachers and community members that are so invested in the success of our children and families,” she said. “What I love most about my career is seeing how the impact of amazing educators on our future leaders positively impacts the community around them.”

Pawlowski is another one of the CCISD principals who knows the district from two perspectives, as a staff member and student. In fact, she’s proud to have graduated from Clear Lake High School. After high school, she attended St. Edward’s University for her bachelor’s degree and Texas A&M University-Commerce for her master’s degree.

“CCISD is committed to developing the whole student,” she said. “Academics and the social and emotional needs of every child are thoughtfully planned and implemented from preschool to twelfth grade.”

She says that Ward, specifically, is committed to “learning new and innovative ways to engage our students, personalize learning and build self-directed, 21st century, productive citizens. Empowering our children to be self-directed learners and leaders in their community motivates me each day.”

Her favorite educational quote, by primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall, echoes the same sentiment.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
