Board Recognitions
Students representing Clear Lake Intermediate led the pledge.

Sullivan Butler, cancer survivor and League City Intermediate seventh grade student, was named the Hero in the Hallway during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Six CCISD campuses were named Texas Honor Roll schools.

Michelle Brown, CCISD science coach, and Dr. Laura Mackay, CCISD STEM coach, both received their STEM National Certification.

All consent agenda items were approved.

The Board approved the 2019 tax rate of $1.31 per $100 valuation, a 9-cent decrease from the prior year. The tax rate includes $0.97 for Maintenance & Operations and $0.34 for Interest & Sinking.

The board delegated the superintendent the authority to negotiate and execute an electricity supply contract, considering the fluctuating rates, to ensure the best value to the district.

The board approved $6 million to purchase 13,500 computers, cases for students in grades 9-12.
