Board Recognitions
McWhirter Elementary students led the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of the meeting.

Area faith leaders were recognized for supporting CCISD students during the government furlough.

2019 State Elementary VEX IQ Challenge Robotics and the 2019 Intermediate State Vex EDR winners were honored.

Seven CCISD swimmers were honored for their state placement in the UIL State Swim/Dive Meet.

Two CCISD wrestlers ranked among the top five in their respective class at the UIL State Wrestling Meet.

Eighteen CCISD students earned Gold Key honors at the HCDE Regional Scholastic Art program.

The Clear Creek Education Foundation provided an update the school board about its fundraising effort and the non-profit’s significant impact in the classrooms of CCISD, including a $784,000 commitment to the District’s Leader in Me program.

Items of Interest
The board received an update on the District’s implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) implementation. Currently, PBIS is in place at 15 CCISD schools. Following this presentation, the board approved the funding for a coordinator of Student Behavior Support.

Alyssa Markowski was named as Elementary Assistant Principal.

A proclamation to temporary name the field at the CCISD Challenger Columbia Stadium in honor of the Apollo anniversary. The field will be named “Apollo Field” until January 2020.

Instructional resources were approved.

The CCISD Board Election resolution was amended to clarify voting locations.

The 2019-2020 budget priorities were approved.

The board received the 2017-2018 Community-Based Accountability Report.
