creekWildcat football has a fearless new leader. The Clear Creek Independent School District has named Dwayne Lane as the head football coach at Clear Creek High School after being unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees at the recent meeting.

Lane, who was previously the head coach at South Houston High School in Pasadena ISD, replaces longtime head coach Darrell Warden, who recently announced his retirement after 13 years. He also coached six years at Clear Lake High School and now returns to Clear Creek, where he had served as an assistant to Warden for six years.

According to CCISD Athletic Director Debbie Fuchs, “Coach Lane's previous experience in Clear Creek ISD was certainly a factor in helping him earn the job as was his success in taking South Houston to the playoffs the last couple of years. He wants to continue that success at Clear Creek.”
