Whether you're an experienced teacher, working towards your teacher certification, or still in school, CCISD welcomes and encourages you to learn more about being a part of our District.

We actively recruit teachers, paraprofessionals, and aides for on-campus positions in March-August and again in November and December. We encourage you to explore our current openings throughout the year to help fill positions that might have turned over during the school year.

As a teacher in CCISD, you can expect to impact the lives of your students on a daily basis while growing personally and professionally.

As a paraprofessional or aide in CCISD, you will provide integral support needed in the classroom and on our school campuses. Whether you are working with English language learners, pre-kindergarten students, or assisting students in our special programs, our paraprofessionals and aides consistently deliver compassion and dedicated to CCISD students.

New Teacher Onboarding

As a new teacher in CCISD, you will be matched with a seasoned CCISD team mentor to not only serve as a buddy but to also provide insight into how we conduct learning at Clear Creek ISD. This mentor model has proven results to increase teacher performance and retention rates for first and second-year teachers.

As your journey continues at CCISD, team members are offered site-based and district-wide professional development throughout the year to help support our mission to improve teaching performance, retention, and campus culture.

Salary Schedule

The current starting teacher salary (0-4 years of experience) is $60,000. CCISD will increase the starting salary by $1,000 for a Master's Degree and $2,000 for a Ph.D.

Teacher Certification

CCISD requires a teaching certificate for the majority of on-campus positions. The following section shares information on teacher certification, alternative certification programs, and out-of-state certification requirements to help prepare you for applying for an open position.

Teacher Certification Requirements

In general, there are five basic requirements to become a certified teacher in Texas. These requirements are not necessarily completed in sequence, and it is recommended that you discuss your plans to become a teacher with an Educator Preparation program early in the process. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) provides more information and the five requirements.

Alternative Certification Programs

Alternative certification programs (ACP’s) offer a nontraditional route to teacher certification that may allow you to teach while completing the requirements. CCISD consistently reaches out to approved programs for qualified candidates for open positions and student teaching/internships. TEA outlines ACPs, the approved programs, and the steps required to complete the program on their website.

Field Experience & Student Teaching/Internship Information

Let's put those courses to the test. In addition to employment opportunities, CCISD offers Field Experience Observation Hours and Student Teaching/Internships opportunities. These programs give you the opportunity to mentor with CCISD educators as you conduct observation hours as part of your coursework and certification program. It also provides you with hands-on experience working in our District and we get to know you and your skills while you work towards your Teacher Certification.

Student Teaching/Internships

CCISD has the ability to provide student teaching and internship experiences geared to match your goals with the guidelines and requirements of each university or certification program. We pair student teachers with supportive, cooperative teachers who work hard to provide you with a safe and effective learning environment. We do our best to ensure each placement is made to meet the needs of all involved. We believe in setting our student teachers up for every success while they are working with our students.
