In order to maximize the use of schools and classrooms, Clear Creek ISD has a pre-application process to allow for a review of staffing and school capacity prior to acceptance. The District generally calls for open-enrollment applications from November 1 through February 1 of the proceeding school year of the application. For example, an application for the 2024-2025 school year should be received by February 1, 2024. An acceptance, denial, or waitlist communication will be shared with applicants no later than July 1st of the applying school year. The District may consider open-enrollment applications if space becomes available beyond July 1.

*For the 2024-2025 school year, applications will continue to be considered for intermediate schools (with the exception of League City Intermediate and Westbrook Intermediate) and high schools beyond February 1. Elementary schools are full.

Children of:

• Clear Creek ISD current employees, substitute employees, and retired employees who reside outside of the school district’s boundaries. 
• Employees who work on Federal property (IE: NASA) and live within 10 miles of CCISD’s boundaries, with proof of employment. 
• Service members and peace officers who live within 10 miles of CCISD’s boundaries

Grandchildren of:

• Current residents with proof of residency. Note: Grandparents who provide substantial after school care should continue to utilize the Grandparent’s After-School Care Affidavit which guarantees admittance to the school nearest the grandparent.

• The applicant must meet the Limited Open Enrollment criteria for which the category they are applying.
• Space and grade level availability at the requested campus.
• Attendance, academic and discipline history from previous school.

An application acceptance does not include transportation unless there is an existing route and bus stop for students of CCISD residents.

Families are notified, via the e-mail account provided in the application, whether their application was accepted or denied. Once approved, families will be instructed to create a family account in Skyward and complete the New Student Enrollment forms.

With the exception of CCISD employees, all other families on an approved transfer will need to renew and submit an application annually.
