Dentistry

Demand for preventative dental services are on the rise with an increasing number of career opportunities becoming available in the area of Registered Dental Assistants. Students interested in the dental field will learn about a wide variety of roles within the dental office.

Students taking Dentistry – Practicum in Health Science gain knowledge in preparing patients for dental procedures, ensuring the sterility of the dental environment, assisting dentists during procedures by providing tools and materials, working with suppliers to schedule deliveries, helping patients schedule appointments, teaching patients about proper oral health, and taking patient x-rays.

In Dentistry – Practicum in Health Science, students acquire advanced skills that prepare them for the Registered Dental Assistant (R.D.A.) exam.

CCISD’s Dentistry program is located at Clear Creek High School, but is open to all qualified students in the district.
