CCISD believes parents, community and school have a shared responsibility for the education of youth. To support this belief, the District invites parents, staff, students and the community into the decision-making process by way of several committees with distinct charters.

As indicated below, some committees are continuously active, while others are convened in response to seasonal District needs, and still others are convened ad hoc, for a specific one-time purpose and scope.

Purpose: The School Safety Committee evaluates the status of school safety and formulates recommendations to improve the learning and working environment for students and staff.
Meeting Frequency: Once per semester
