Recently Received Delinquent Statement:

You may have recently received a delinquent tax statement. This bill indicates that you have unpaid school taxes for the years shown. Tax laws require that tax offices mail delinquent tax bills to the current property owner. It is the property owner's responsibility to know which taxing authorities tax their property and when taxes are due. Tax bills are usually mailed in October and become delinquent February 1. This is the same time each year. If your mortgage company pays your taxes, please contact them about the non-payment of these taxes. New property owners may check with their title company as to the disposition of unpaid taxes due at closing. Texas Tax Code 31.01 (g) states failure to receive a tax bill is not grounds for waiver of penalty and interest.
If you have made a payment, please check that the payment has cleared your bank or credit card before calling the tax office. We will require a copy front and back of your paid check or proof of payment to research your missing payment.  Please note that some May payments may not have yet been posted when the statements were printed. Click find or pay tax bill to check your account.
