Online Assessment Honor Code

Online Assessment Honor Code

CCISD Core Values provide a foundation of academic integrity. At the same time, structures need to be in place to encourage honesty in online assessments. Through itslearning, CCISD teachers can utilize plagiarism detection software. Additionally, both itslearning and Eduphoria:Aware feature a lockdown browser for use in administering online assessments. Note: CCISD does not employ keystroke detection software to detect academic dishonesty.

Prevailing research exists supporting the use of honor statements completed at the beginning of an assessment. The Department of Assessment and Evaluation recommends the use of written or verbal honor codes prior to every major grade assessment.
