This is the image for the news article titled CCISD Bond Summer 2020 UpdateIn May 2017, the community overwhelmingly authorized Clear Creek ISD to invest $487 million to improve the district's schools and support services through the 2017 Bond Program. Projects include building new or rebuilding schools, replacing portables with permanent additions, renovating aging schools to bring them up to today’s learning standards, improving school and bus safety through the purchase of surveillance equipment and buses, and expanding opportunities for students to explore science and the arts.

Below please find a full list of the projects that will take place throughout CCISD this summer.

High Schools

Clear Brook High School – A number of items will be addressed in order to complete the campus' improvement plan. Carpet and vinyl tile will be replaced to match the flooring installed in the previous bond program. All corridors will be painted and receive lighting upgrades. Sound doors will be installed in the choir and orchestra rooms. The field dugouts will also be restored.

Clear Creek High School – The work to be completed includes the set shop addition and auditorium upgrades, resurfacing of the tennis courts and other priority repairs. The majority of parking lots will also be redone.

Clear View High School – The rebuild of the campus will take place through this summer and into the next school year. Demolition of the old gym and library should begin in the coming weeks in preparation for the new building and parking lots.

Intermediate Schools

Clear Creek Intermediate – Improvements include a band hall and weight room addition, renovation of the existing fine arts area, replacement of the tennis courts and other priority repairs.

Seabrook Intermediate – Construction includes replacement of the front parking lots/driveways and the football/soccer field bleachers in addition to the installation of sound walls in the fine arts area and other priority repairs.

Elementary Schools

Bay, Hyde and North Pointe elementary schools – The bond projects for these campuses include installation of emergency generators, emergency lighting retrofit and other priority repairs.

Ferguson, Gilmore, and Goforth elementary schools – Roof replacements will be completed.
Hall Elementary – The roof and exterior face brick replacement will be finished. Construction on the major renovation project will begin later this fall.

Landolt Elementary – The roof restoration will be concluded. Construction on the major renovation project will begin later this fall.

Parr Elementary – The site improvements and partial roof replacement objectives will be completed. The site improvements project was funded with bond savings and interest and the partial roof replacement was funded under the District-wide roofing initiative as included in the bond.

Ed White Elementary - The major renovation of the campus will take place this summer and through the next school year. This includes the addition of portable classrooms and construction of the new administration addition. The old gym will be used to create four temporary classrooms for the 2020-2021 school year before it is renovated into the new STEM lab in Summer 2021.

Support Facilities and Other Projects

Main Transportation Center – Work on the Main Transportation Center redesign will continue through summer and into the next school year. This includes a new driveway leading to Louisiana Avenue, replacement of all bus/staff/visitor parking lots, renovation of the transportation office space, removal of the underground fuel storage tanks, installation of new above-ground fuel storage tanks, new fueling stations and other priority repairs.

District-wide Security Upgrades – This work includes replacement of access control, intrusion detection and surveillance cameras across all campuses and support facilities which will continue through the summer and into the next school year. The project also includes renovation and hardening of the front entry vestibules at all five comprehensive high schools which will be finished this summer.
