Your Clear Link to a World-Class Education

Clear Link is the Clear Creek Independent District’s virtual access to a world class education. We have designed rigorous online learning courses for high school students to accelerate their graduation plan, flex-schedule their regular class load, or recover high school credit.
Clear Link will expand their option to include a full-time virtual program for elementary, intermediate, and high school students in the 2026-2027 school year through Clear Tech. Clear Tech will provide students and their families with full-time online learning with the added benefits of in-person enrichment opportunities.

Accelerated Coursework
Clear Access provides students with the opportunity to take high school courses online for original credit, outside of their regular school day. This flexible option is ideal for students who want to enrich or supplement their education, earn credits to accelerate graduation, explore other academic opportunities, or gain experience in an online learning environment.
Courses offered through Clear Access are developed to meet the same standards as traditional high school classes. They follow the CCISD curriculum, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), and national educational standards. Students engage with experienced, well-trained CCISD teachers while mastering course content and building essential skills such as communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
Format
Courses are completed online through Canvas, allowing students to work anytime and from anywhere outside the regular school day. Students follow a session pacing guide with clear due dates to help them stay organized and on track. Teachers closely monitor progress, provide feedback, and communicate regularly with students and families to support success.
Enrollment and Cost
Registration is handled by the campus counselor. The program is fee-based, with a cost of $200 per 0.5 credit. Students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch receive a reduced fee of $100 per 0.5 credit.
Benefits
Clear Access gives students a flexible way to earn original course credit—whether to graduate early or create room in their schedule for electives, athletics, or other opportunities. Course grades appear on the transcript but are not included in GPA calculations; all courses are UIL‑approved, and time spent in coursework may be reviewed by the NCAA Eligibility Center for student‑athletes.
Support
Courses are supported by Clear Creek ISD certified teachers in each subject area who actively monitor student progress throughout the session. Questions related to coursework should be directed to the teacher assigned to the course.
Families may also contact the Clear Access/Stars Department at clearaccess@ccisd.net or 281‑284‑1550 for assistance with program or payment questions.
Travel Access Restrictions
The Clear Access department does not support course access from locations outside the United States. Additionally, access may be restricted due to CCISD network filtering policies.

Dual Credit Virtual or Hybrid
Clear Creek ISD partners with both San Jacinto College (SJC) and College of the Mainland (COM) to offer dual credit programs. This collaborative relationship allows eligible high school students to enroll in college-level courses and earn credit simultaneously for both their high school diploma and a college transcript.
San Jacinto College
Format
SJC offers a range of online course types, including fully virtual and hybrid options. The fully online "Online Anytime" option is self-paced with no required campus visits, while "Online on a Schedule" has specific online lecture times. Hybrid courses combine online work with on-campus classroom time.
Enrollment
Students must meet certain requirements, including applying to SJC, getting a student ID, meeting Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) requirements, and submitting proof of a bacterial meningitis vaccination. Registration is handled through a high school counselor or the SJC dual credit office, as web registration isn't available for dual credit students.
Benefits
Students can potentially graduate high school with a significant number of college credits, saving time and money. SJC offers a 75% tuition discount for dual credit courses.
College of the Mainland
Format
COM offers dual credit classes at various locations, including online. The college provides a dedicated enrollment coach to guide students through the process.
Enrollment
Students must first meet with their high school counselor, then complete a COM Dual Credit Interest Form, and meet with a COM enrollment coach. After that, they apply for admission, complete necessary testing requirements (like the TSIA), and set up their COM email.
Benefits
Dual credit classes save students time and money. Students get access to college support services like tutoring and the library, which helps ease the transition from high school to college. Grades earned in dual credit courses at COM affect a student's college GPA, so it's important to maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Flex Schedule
The Flex Schedule program provides an off-campus, virtual option for high school students to earn original credit for specific courses. This program is a great way to ease time pressure by allowing students to use their late arrival or early release periods (1st or 7th period) to complete coursework.
Format
All coursework is completed online using the Canvas platform. This is not a self-paced program; students must follow a fixed pacing schedule set by the instructor and adhere to the district's grading schedule. While students work independently, the courses are managed by a campus-identified teacher.
Benefits
Grades earned in these courses count toward a student's GPA and are eligible for Superintendent's Scholars. The courses are also approved by both the UIL and NCAA, which is a significant benefit for student-athletes.

- English IV B

Full Virtual
Clear Tech is a fully virtual learning option launching Fall 2026 through the Clear Creek Independent School District in partnership with Texas Tech K-12. The program will be open to students entering Grades K–9 for the 2026–2027 school year. Additional high school grades will be added as the inaugural 9th-grade cohort progresses.
Clear Tech delivers the benefit of a world-class virtual education with the structure, support, and social connection of Clear Creek ISD. Additional details will be posted on this webpage as they become available.
Virtual Credit Recovery
Clear Stars allows students to recover high school credits outside of the school day, from home or another location, to stay on track for graduation.
Format
Coursework is completed online through the Edgenuity platform and follows a structured pacing schedule, with each course designed to be completed within a 10‑week session or sooner. At the beginning of each unit, students take a pretest that allows them to show what they already know and skip content they have mastered, helping them progress more efficiently. Students are enrolled in one credit recovery course at a time, with the opportunity to enroll in an additional course if the first is completed by the midpoint of the session.
Enrollment and Cost
Registration is handled by the campus counselor. The program is fee-based, with a cost of $200 per 0.5 credit. Students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch receive a reduced fee of $100 per 0.5 credit.
Eligibility and Benefits
Clear Stars is available to CCISD high school students who have failed a course and need to recover credit toward graduation. Student‑athletes should note that computer‑based credit recovery courses do not meet NCAA core course requirements, even though the program supports progress toward high school graduation.
Support
The curriculum is delivered through the Edgenuity platform, and support is provided by a dedicated Credit Recovery Teacher.
Travel Access Restrictions
The Clear Access department does not support course access from locations outside the United States. Additionally, access may be restricted due to CCISD network filtering policies.

Throughout the course, students will complete a variety of activities, including:
- Assignments
- Instructional videos
- Projects
- Unit tests
- A final exam
This structure ensures that students receive a personalized learning experience while meeting the requirements for course completion.
