Offering Free and Tuition-Based Pre-K Options for Families Who Qualify
Research shows that providing a high-quality education for children before they turn five years old yields great medium- and long-term benefits for students.
In Clear Creek ISD early childhood education develops a lifelong love of learning and sets the foundation for the necessary cognitive, social, emotional and physical development essential for future success.
Pre-K Program Offerings
Clear Creek ISD provides early learning opportunities for children who are four years old and as early as three years old for children with special needs through the Early Childhood Special Education Program.
These opportunities include:
Free Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) Program
The Free Pre-K Program is an early learning program to prepare children for Kindergarten who are identified as at risk. Pre-Kindergarten provides learning to children who are four years old on or before September 1. Learn more about the qualifications for the Free Pre-K Program.
Tuition-Based Pre-K
Clear Creek ISD offers tuition-based Pre-Kindergarten to children who are four years old on or before September 1 who DO NOT meet the state qualifications for the Free Pre-K Program. Tuition for the Pre-K programs for the 24-25 school year is $600 per month for 10 months.
Early Childhood Special Education
The Early Childhood Special Education program meets the needs of students who are identified as needing special education services. The ECSE provides services to children beginning on their third birthday.

Preparing for a Strong Start
There are many things parents and guardians can do in the months and even years leading up to the first day in Pre-K.
Clear Creek ISD is pleased to provide parents with a FREE subscription to ReadyRosie, an online resource that emails daily activities to adults to do with their children ages 0-5. Each activity is modeled with a two-minute video.
If your child is enrolled in pre-K in CCISD your child's teacher will e-mail you an invitation to subscribe. However, any parent living within the Clear Creek ISD attendance boundaries can register for ReadyRosie.
Restart Kindergarten
The Texas Legislature has given parents rights to make the decision as to whether their child needs to repeat kindergarten or pre-kindergarten in the upcoming school year.
If, during the previous school year, your kindergarten or pre-kindergarten-age child:
- Did not attend
- Missed many days because of the disrupted school year
- Attended but struggled
You may want to consider whether he or she should restart this upcoming school year.
