The importance of good nutrition and regular physical exercise is well-documented. Clear Creek Independent School District and NASA Johnson Space Center want you to join our newest adventure - STS Expedition.
Your mission is to travel as far as you can over the summer. How do you do that? It’s easy. The STS Stretch, Think and Score! Program is designed to keep students active in mind and body all year long. Each student must track their daily score on the provided monthly score sheet.
For every point your student logs they travel 25 miles!
Total points traveled will be calculated and logged at the end of the summer. Students who have logged the most miles will be eligible for merit and awards. For information on award levels please review the AWARDS section of our website.
Getting Started
To get started pick your destination.
Where do you want to go? Do you want to go to the state capital? Maybe you want to travel to New York City or the wilds of Africa...or maybe somewhere a little further like the moon! Write down your goals and calculate how many points you will need to reach your destination over the summer.
Break down your total points into daily activities. Review the suggested activities list and pick the activity you would like to perform. A combination of two or three activities can be done to reach the your total daily minutes. You are limited to 10 points per day (a total of 250 miles).
At the end of the summer students will share their success and be eligible for program awards.
All activities
are worth a point value of 2 points.
