PLTW has developed a four year sequence of courses which, “when combined with college preparatory mathematics and science courses in high school, introduces students to the scope, rigor and discipline of engineering and engineering technology prior to entering college,” according to the PLTW web site at www.pltw.org. By joining with PLTW, CCISD high schools can take advantage of a curriculum that has been developed by engineers and tested throughout the U.S. The district can also take advantage of training offered to all of the PLTW instructors.
