Engineering students at Clear Creek HS, designed an award winning table for NASA. The HUNCH (High Schools United with NASA to Create Hardware) class promotes engineering in high schools. To read more about the students' table design click here>>.

This summer students from across Clear Creek I.S.D will be participating in the Student Art Exhibit and Contest at Reliant Park's World Series of Dog Shows.  Pictured are participating students from Gilmore Elementary.

STS-123 Crew Commander Dom Gorie opened Clear Lake High School's varsity baseball game against the Alvin Yellowjackets. Gorie presented the Falcons Baseball team a cap that had orbited the earth on his latest flight. Principal Dr. Chris Moran accepted the space memento.

Second graders at Wedgewood Elementary celebrated Earth Day by reusing old socks to pick up trash from the school's playground.

Clear Lake's HS Chamber Orchestra performed prelude music at Jones Hall for world renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. Students were honored to perform at this event.

Name That Park

Marianne Kolar's kindergarten class at Bay Elementary received a $500 check for their school by winning a contest to name a new park. The class chose Seabrook Wildlife Park for the 41 acre site located off Red Bluff Road.

The District's Robotics teams were the program spotlight at the School Board meeting this month. The mission is to help fulfill America's unmet need for engineers and thus ensuring America's continuing ability to solve the world's most vital issues. The Robotics teams are evidence of the true collaboration between students, teachers, parents and the NASA community.
