Grade 7 (PreAP) Prerequisite: A TAKS 5^th Grade Reading Scale Score of 2297 or greater, average of 90 (80 in advanced section) or greater in previous Social Studies class.	Grade 8 (PreAP) Prerequisite: A TAKS 6^th Grade Reading Scale Score of 2290 or greater, average of 90 (80 in advanced section) or greater in previous Social Studies class.
Grade 6 (PreAP/GT) Prerequisite: Identified highly capable/identified GT. Application for the highly capable is required.
