Approximate Timelines and due dates of long-term projects:
Please refer to the Brookside Band Date sheet or website calendar for scheduled competitions, activities, as well as performances that will take place throughout the school year.
General Methods of Assessment and Grade Calculations:
* Grades are assessed though daily participation, periodic performance evaluations, and attendance at required performances and competitions.
* Students will be expected to turn in some form of a practice record (dependent on band class) weekly. This is their homework.
Average Amount of Homework:
Students are expected to bring their instrument and music
book home each day and practice. Training band members are expected to practice
100 minutes a week. Advanced band students are expected to practice 180 minutes
a week.
