What is All-Region?

 

The All-Region Choir is one of the highest honors that a 7^th or 8^th grade choir student can receive in choir and their overall music education. It is a wonderful experience that allows the “best of the best” singers in the region to come together and make incredible music with the All-Region Choir. Students who wish to participate in the All-Region process MUST talk to Mrs. Brauer or Ms. Wright immediately. Auditions are EARLY and students are responsible for learning several pieces of music and preparing for sight-reading by the audition date. Mrs. Brauer and Ms. Wright are both available and willing to help ALL students learn their music before and after school. Each student who wishes to participate will be given a CD to take home and practice as well as sign a contract committing to the Region process if selected. Any student who does not know the music by the time of the Region deadline in September will not be allowed to participate.

 

***If a student makes the All-Region Auditions on October 13th, they MUST attend the all day All-Region Clinic and Concert on Saturday, December 1^st at the Abundant Life Church in La Marque. They are also expected to attend the rehearsal on Friday night, November 30^th from 5-7 pm at Westbrook Intermediate in CCISD. Bring $7.00 for spaghetti!  :)
