JROTC COURSE SYLLABUS

CLASSROOM RULES AND PROCEDURES:

  • 1. Follow all orders from constituted authority.

  • 2. Bring all materials to class

  • 3. No profanity

  • 4. Be on time.

  • 5. When tardy bell sounds, come to parade rest by your desk.

    CONSEQUENCES

  • 1. Verbal warning-First time

  • 2. Pushups/Demerits

  • 3. Discipline report and Demerits.

  • 4. Suspension or reduction in rank-call parents.

  • 5. Office referral

  • 6. Dismissal from program.

    REWARDS

  • 1. Commanders time/movies

  • 2. Free time

  • 3. Merits and promotions
  •  

    TARDY POLICY

  • 1. Pushups-1st time

  • 2. JROTC detention-2nd time

  • 3. All cadets will be assessed the appropriate disciplinary action based on school district policy after the 3rd tardy.

    DRESS OUT POLICY

  • 1. 20% of grade over grading period

  • 2. Dress out once a week IAW Cadet Command Reg. 670-1.

  • 3. Excused absents, make up: Cadets are responsible for asking instructor for the make up dress out upon returning to class.

  • 4. Unexcused absents, make up: Cadets are responsible for asking instructor for the make up dress out upon returning to class but will receive only 50%of the grade achieved.

    GRADING SCHEME:

  • 1. Uniform dress out is 25%

  • 2. Physical Training (P.T)-15% (dress out and participation)

  • 3. Classroom academics, to include group participation and quizzes and drill-25%

  • 4. Exams-25%

  • 5. Notebook/Homework-10% (3-ring binder for organizing materials.
  • JROTC TEAMS

  • 1.Color Guard

  • 2. Drill Team

  • 3. Rifle Team

  • 4. Academic Team

  • 5. Physical Fitness Team (PT)

  • 6. Orienteering Team

  • 7. Ranger Swim Team

    ACTIVITIES
    Mandatory-will effect cadets overall grade

  • 1. Military Ball

  • 2. Corps Day

  • 3. Final Review

  • 4. RFI inspection ( Federal Inspection)

    Expected:

  • 1. Football games

  • 2. Fund Raiser

  • 3. Service Learning

  • 4. Drill Competitions (for Team Members)
  • UNIQUE:
    We are more than just a class period. We are supported by a JROTC booster club which is made of parents and guardians of our cadets. All activities are open to our Booster Club members.
