Being aware that guest speakers can provide a valuable new perspective on course material and enrich the class experience, we had made several attempts to invite guest speakers to our school for the noble purpose of promoting science , engineering, and techonology interest amongst our students. On October 4th, 2007, Clear Brook is going to have the pleasure of featuring a talk from Dr.John Lienhard in the auditorium. All Engineering students are encouraged to attend. John H. Lienhard is the author and voice of The Engines of Our Ingenuity, a radio program that tells the story of how our culture is formed by human creativity. He is M.D Anderson Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering and History at the University of Houston. He received BS and MS degrees from Oregon State College and the University of Washington, his PhD from the University of California at Berkeley, and he holds two honorary doctorates. He is known for his research in the thermal sciences as well |
