School of Business and Applied Technologies
Mission Statement:
School of Business and Applied Technologies is a carrer-focused
learning community that promotes life-long learning by motivating students
to pursue their aspirations.Learners will experience academic, social,
and ethical growth aimed at developing their character to become positive
contributing members of the business community.
The Secretary’s Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS)
has been adopted as the strategic direction for a certification program,
competitive events, leadership, direction for interaction with business,
career/job preparation, and workplace competencies.
Business Professionals of America will be a cohesive agent in the worldwide
networking of education, business, and industry. Business Professionals
of America will be the leading student organization in preparing a world-class
workforce. Business Professionals of America will set a standard
of excellence for vocational programs.
We are very pleased to announce that a new chapter of the Business Professionals
Association is forming here at Brook. Mr. Jerry Lyne will be the sponsor
of our new club. He comes to us with experience in BPA at the local, state,
and national level. Students will be able to compete in many different
areas of business in open competitions. Results will be published in this
newsletter.
We would like to encourage all students to participate in the new club.
Participation in BPA is great preparation for the competitive business
field. Being a member of BPA also shows colleges and universities that
you are serious about attending their business schools. |
