2nd "Falcon" Battalion CLHS JROTC

Mission:

The mission of the Clear Lake High School AJROTC is to transform students into citizens who have the ability to succeed and make great contributions to society. We cover the basics in history, government, map reading, first aid, technological awareness, and current events. Also, we teach leadership skills (leading others), and personal skills (how to study, test, and take interviews). There are many teams that our cadets can participate in.

To motivate and develop young people is the goal of AJROTC. To attain this, we combine instruction and extracurricular activities. Cadets are organized into units along military lines and taught by retired military personnel. CLHS AJROTC gives cadets the opportunity to develop and improve themselves in ways school generally doesn't offer and uses military skills to teach self-discipline, confidence, and pride in a job well done

We are a student run organization. AJROTC in high school helps prepare students for leadership roles. As a

result the students are able to think on their own, and can express their own ideas and opinions clearly and concisely, with high self esteem. In this process, our students gain an understanding of military history, purpose, and structure of Army JROTC.
