Kindergarten Rodeo Art -2002-03

Kindergarteners explored life on a farm through several books and discussions.  Then, they drew and painted a farm animal,  paying special  attention to the parts the animal needed in order for us to identify it.  Then, they created a collage for the background and learned about the horizon line.  After the animals were glued to the backgrounds, we  looked at several art prints and discussed how artists add details to their art to make it more interesting.  The students then used markers to add interesting details to their own works!
