Teachers please remember to begin the day with the Pledge of Allegiance, the Texas Pledge, and a minute of silence before proceeding with a dress code check and the daily announcements.
Fundraiser for Student: We currently have a student undergoing cancer treatment and Clear Horizons is trying to help. The information for the fundraiser is the following:
1.) Each grade level will have a bottle displayed in the office.
2.) Goal: To raise the most money IN COINS.
3.) Grade levels can "bomb" other grade levels by loading up bottles with paper money. The total amount of paper money will be deducted from coin amount. Example: If 11th grade had 1/2 of the bottle full of coins, then the 10th grade might decide to "bomb' the junior bottle by donating dollar bills. Your advisory strategy should be collecting coins, but also watching the other grade level bottles in order to know which grade level to "bomb."
4.) Teachers are not to take any money, any and all donations are to be deposited in
the bottles in the office.
Bad Weather Make Up Day: Today Clear Horizons will have a “B” day without college classes. Unfortunately all stores on campus will be closed due to the holiday – this means Starbucks, Pizza Hut, A&W, and the Bookstore will not be open so students will have to bring a lunch or eat from our cafeteria. All students report to Advisory class at 8:00 AM every day.
Word of the Week: Students, the word for this 11 week period is Responsibility. John F. Kennedy said the following about Responsibility: "Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future"
